What is a tailored quote
- Tailored quote is the price we send you, usually by text or sometimes via email once we do our in depth search for your insurance needs. Our service offers the precision and experience necessary to obtain the appropriate insurance policy for you; we do not operate as a broker or representative for any particular insurance company, but we do begin all policies that are appropriate for the client. Our service is designed to save you money by utilising an in-depth and hands-on strategy that involves looking through a large number of insurance providers and websites to find one that is most appropriate for your needs. We specialise in obtaining the most competitive private auto insurance quotes from insurers via the open market and online quote engines. This procedure is carried out manually by our experts utilising all of the exact information supplied by you, with your personal information being completely trusted and approved. We offer you with a list of websites, which may include direct insurers or comparison websites, that are most matched to all of the information you have supplied at the time of filling out our form or during an appointment and/or phone call. Our administration fee, interest (if paying monthly), and all other costs are included in the Tailored Quote, but they do not include any charges from the insurer or broker that may occur later if you make any adjustment or variation to the policy after it has been set up, such as a change of car or address. In other words, our tailored quote includes everything you will pay for the coming year unless you decide to make any amendments during your policy year. We always treat your data and payment information in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 when providing you with a Tailored Quote through the open market.
When to expect the tailored quote to be with you
- Within 24-48 hours, you should receive the findings of our price research. You may also receive a phone call from us to discuss the policy features, during which time you will have the chance to learn more about them.
What will you pay us for our service?
- Our service fee is included with the tailored quote we provide you. There is no hidden costs or extra fees with the quote we provide you. Only time there may be any extra costs is when you make any amendments in your policy during your policy year. This can lead to an increase or decrease in your premium depending on what the change is. Changes include change of address/car/additional drivers and many more. Further details can be found on your insurers website. We can always help you with these changes during your policy year, however there may be an additional service charge from our company.
- Please note our service fee is for providing you with the tailored quote (only when you go ahead with the policy and if you decide not to go ahead with the policy then it’s completely free) and not for setting up the policy. Please note If you provide us with any false information, which may result in your policy been cancelled, our service fee is non-refundable.
Your obligations
- To the best of your knowledge and belief, you should respond to all the questions. If you are unsure about any of the answers, you should tell us any information you believe is relevant. If any answers are inaccurate, you may be without insurance, or you may be required to pay additional premiums, which the insurer maintains the right to collect. If you need further clarification on any of our questions please contact us on our contact details. You must not fill out any of our forms if you do not understand any questions.
- It is critical that you read and understand the insurance company’s terms and conditions. The terms and conditions of the insurance provider are not the same as ours, and you will agree to the insurance provider’s terms and conditions when you accept a quotation.
- It is critical that you read any insurance paperwork that has been provided to you and are familiar with the coverage, limitations, and other conditions that apply. Failure to follow the insurer’s terms and conditions might result in the cancellation of your insurance.
- It is your duty to confirm and, if required, correct any data with any broker or insurer from whom you elect to acquire an insurance policy. If you don’t do this, your insurance may be voided. Unlike other firms, we want to be upfront about this so that we can ensure you don’t have any issues in the future.
Claims and underwriting Exchange (CUE)
- Any motorist who has had any accidents (fault or non-fault) or claims (whether made or not) in the previous 5 years must reveal this information when asked; failure to do so may result in a premium rise or invalidation of insurance, with cancellation costs possible.Insurers and brokers can also inquire about the history of any incidents or claims that have been registered in the CUE database. The Claims and Underwriting Exchange (CUE) is a single database of motor vehicle, house, and personal injury/industrial sickness occurrences that may or may not result in a claim.
Driving and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA), Motor convictions or disqualifications
- Any motorist who has had any motor convictions, fixed penalties, or disqualifications in the last 5 years must reveal this information when requested; failure to do so may result in a premium rise or insurance cancellation costs. Please note this includes convictions where penalty points were not given. Insurers and brokers can also search the DVLA database for any motor convictions, fines, or disqualifications. This is also the case for non-UK license holders. The UK Government’s Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) is in charge of keeping a database of drivers and a database of cars in the United Kingdom.
No Claim Bonus/Discount- (NCB or NCD)
- If you take out a policy with a No Claims Bonus/Discount (NCB), proof of the NCB may be needed. The customer is exclusively responsible for providing proof of NCB directly to their insurance provider. We may be able to help our clients by showing them how to send the document over to the insurer. This documentation should be a renewal notice or letter from your current insurance company, stating the principal driver as the policyholder and the amount of NCB obtained. A policy schedule is not an acceptable form of proof and may be rejected. This NCB may only be used on one policy at a time, and it must have been utilised in the previous 24 months. Further information can be found on your insurers site.
Motor Insurance Database (MID)
- Your vehicle insurance policy information will be uploaded to the Motor Insurance Database (MID), which is maintained by the Motor Insurers’ Information Centre (MIIC). This process can take up to 7 days but is normally updated within a few hours. You may also use www.askmid.com to look for information on your own motor vehicle. The DVLA and DVLNI may utilise MID data for Electronic Vehicle Licensing, and the Police may use it to determine if a driver’s usage of a vehicle is likely to be covered by a motor insurance policy, as well as to prevent and detect crime. If your vehicle does take more than a few hours to update on the MID, we will ensure you have the correct documentation needed to prove you are insured to the police or to anyone else.
